Zero-knowledge explained

What zero-knowledge means in Ankhora, and what it doesn’t.

What "zero-knowledge" means (in practice)

  • Your vault contents are encrypted so that we cannot read them.
  • Access depends on keys and recovery material that you control.
  • Support can help with app behavior and diagnostics, but not with decrypting your data.

What we can see vs what we can't

We can see - The messages you send us - App version and environment details you provide - Logs you choose to share

We cannot see - Your decrypted vault contents - Your private keys or recovery material (unless you share them, which you should not)

Why this matters

  • Strong privacy boundaries
  • Reduced risk from third-party access
  • Clear operational trust model for institutions

Your responsibilities

  • Protect your device access
  • Store recovery material safely
  • Share access only when necessary
